About Carter & Penn

I have dreamed of doing big things all my life.  While I worked in corporate business development, management and marketing for 17 years, I was still in pursuit of my next level aspiration.  I carried a dream of not only working for myself but being in a position to make a positive impact on the community.  More than 18 years ago, I took a leap of faith and began working full-time as a real estate professional which gave me more time to get involved in the local community and expand into photography and business marketing services for small businesses. 

Carter & Penn was established to celebrate and reward everyone with a dream that takes a step daily to realize their goals.  My objective is to remind you that you are a powerhouse and to encourage you to celebrate your success along the way.

Carter & Penn is named for my paternal grandparents.  They were smart, hardworking yet undereducated products of the south.  They raised seven well-educated, accomplished children in the 1920's and 30's.  The three boys including my father served in the military and all seven went on to earn masters degrees, doctorates or law degrees from institutions including Iowa State, the University of Michigan, and NYU.  As far back as I can remember, my dad always preferred to wear a suit and dress shirt.  He shook his head whenever he saw me or anyone else in their jeans or "dungarees." He was all about business.

I believe that everyone working toward a goal wins each and every day that they take a step forward toward fulfilling their purpose.  We need tools to help us accomplish our goals and encouragement to pursue our dreams and let our voices be heard. 

In support of our mission, we believe in encouraging the generation of young people that are facing unthinkable life challenges that stay on course and press forward with true grit despite their uncertainties.  It is my objective to use this platform to share inspirational stories of victory that will motivate multiple generations to fulfill their life purpose and to live out their dreams.
